Impressive units, I purchased via the website, I am happy to see others can now get directly through Amazon. My stock ally x sticks were rather drift sensitive not even a week into owning my device and these are more tensioned and feel better for fps + were easy to install/ resolved the drift. I would love for handheld diy to provide a script for the ally x community that essentially resolves the axial deadzone snapping on these devices, these help make it less of an issue, but ROG has a software occurrence which causes this and it isn’t relative to the sticks. Only bringing it up because if they can design a custom chipset for these sticks and such, I feel they could also find major success in software. Thanks again!
these are perfect for replacement joysticks feeling way better to play with and easy to install with the ally needing no solder to install them just unplug and unscrew. i will say this though if your planning on changing the thumbstick if there not the exact same as stock they probably wont fit or have a lot of rubbing so recommend sticking with the stock ones. would be nice though if handheld DIY made some clear replacement themselves to go with this so the rgb used and seen more

These TMR Hall Effect Joysticks are amazing. Huge upgrade from standard joysticks. More tension and significantly improved precision. Smooth. Nice that toolkit was included. Definitely worth the upgrade.
These really leveled up my ROG Ally X. Easy to install and once you’ve done hardware and software calibration these are worth it.
Great product just like described
Received the pair of TMR sticks from HandheldDIY recently. The units arrived extremely well packaged and included a pair of tweezers, small screwdriver and case opening tool. Also included was an instruction sheet which is very informative.
Fitting of the devices was relatively easy (there is a video tutorial that you can follow the link to the tutorial is included within the instructions) took around 10 minutes which included dismantling, installing, calibration and refitting of the backplate.
It’s important to reset the stock stick calibration settings in armoury grate before removing and replacing with the new TMR units.
Calibration is carried out using another link found in the instructions sheet, this can be a little bit fiddly as it involves pressing k1 and eventually k2 buttons on the TMR pub whilst trying to look at the screen during calibration, however it’s actually easy when you get used to holding the Ally X whilst the backplate is removed.
When happy with the calibration, put the backplate back on, secure it and then go to armoury crate and carry out the calibration as originally carried out when the device came as stock.
The TMR sticks are definitely tighter than the stock units.
Remember the TMR sticks are not the same as Hall Effect sticks, these are far superior, carry out a web search TMR vs Hall Effect to see the differences between the two.
These are ideal for FPS and Racing games where accuracy and speed is critical.
These sticks are very accurate/precise and feel great.
I recommend these units if you’re considering an upgrade, you won’t be disappointed.
