I really love how the sticks feel. The slightly tighter resistance feels just right to me. The instructions were perfect and the replacement process incredibly easy, you even get all the tools you need.
I only substract one star because it's still not a perfectly round gate, it's more like a Hexagon. But that's at least much better than a square gate and definitely good enough for me. Gamepad tester gave ~9% error in Circularity which is fine, even for shooters. For reference, square gate Hall Effect sticks have over 30% which really sucks and was very noticeable especially in FPS games.
All in all, these are the best Sticks on the market right now, no doubt, I've tried the others and can tell.
Haven't tried it yet because I'm waiting for an SSD to arrive so I can do everything once.
They're really easy to install and calibrate, no problems with that.
I bought both the standard and tighter versions and it was the right choice, I find mixed sticks to be the best. Left one being standard is more comfortable with games that don't require a lot of precision (in many cases it's just used for movement) and the right one being tight is optimal for aiming (along with gyro as well). There's one area where I would improve these sticks, and it's the analog stick caps. The original ones have a more pronounced lip around.
These feel very high quality very happy with them.
I recently won a pair of the replacement Hall Effect sticks for the Steam Deck OLED from a giveaway in the SteamDeck Discord server. Shipping time was roughly a week(NOTE this was over Thanksgiving). The sticks came with some pry tools, a spudger and a small screwdriver to disassemble the Steam Deck. Disassembly is simple, remove the 8 screws holding on the backplate and the two halves easily pry apart. Another 3 screws hold in each sticks daughterboard and they connect via a small ribbon cable.
Once swapped in, the calibration process was simple - ensure you don't put the back shell back on yet though since calibration involves pressing two buttons on the new sticks daughterboards. The sticks are very sensitive, they rotate easily and feel quite comparible to the stock sticks(I chose the looser variant). A very happy upgrade experience all around here!
The exchange was easy, although a bit fiddly. The sticks were easy to adjust and feel high quality. As expected, the higher resistance feels very pleasant. Conclusion: recommendable
Very good sticks and easy to install. Unfortunately around 3 months after heavy useage my left stick started mis-inputting directions. I contacted support to see what I could do and they ended up replacing them pretty quickly.
I bought both gulikit and handhelddiy. Both are good. However, currently gulikit has no edge calibration so that it went into a square range than a circle. HandheldDiy is a batter choice until now from the market. Two SKUs for regular and tighter resistance feedback on the joystick also a good user orientated design.
BTW, I want specially thanks the customer service anget Taylena, she(he) provided the best support for me about the logistics questions for lots of the time.
